Founded in 1979, Quiet Waters Publishing (QWP) emerged from a commitment to preserve the literary works of Walter and Ingrid Trobisch. Under the guidance of Stephen and David Trobisch, QWP has expanded into a unique publishing entity, offering an eclectic array of titles. Our diverse catalog spans from missionary biographies and scholarly works on the Christian Bible to explorations of local history and children's literature. With a repertoire of over 100 titles, QWP prides itself on fostering quality, niche literature that caters to a wide and varied global readership.
Dr. David J. Trobisch
Born in Cameroon to Lutheran missionaries, David Trobisch was raised in West Africa before pursuing his education in Austria and theology studies in Germany. He has taught New Testament studies at the University of Heidelberg, Missouri State University, Yale Divinity School, and Bangor Theological Seminary. Trobisch also served as the founding Director of Collections for the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC. Recognized for his scholarly contributions, David Trobisch's work encompasses the Letters of Paul, the formation of the Christian Bible, performance theory in antiquity, and the study of Bible manuscripts.
